Mobile Grooming
All My Energy and Attention Is Devoted to One Pet at a Time
From the type of product selected for your pet's skin and coat to the time I will take with your dog, my goal is to provide a positive experience for your pet.
As dogs are experts at picking up on our human emotions and their surroundings, I go to great lengths to create a safe low-stress environment for them.
I have put great detail into my van's interior design. I chose a soothing blue color for the decor. Dogs can see blue and, according to research studies, have demonstrated to prefer blue objects. I have installed sound reduction panels and protect their ears to minimize the sound from the dryer. I also play bioacoustically designed music and use stress-reducing pheromones during your pet's groom.
Between appointments, I sanitize the van with low-scent, veterinary-grade cleaners.
Safety for Your Pet Is the Building Block of My Practice
I only use 100%-natural shampoos and conditioners specially formulated for canine skin and hair. The table and tub are electric and can be lowered to ground level for easier, safer, and less frightening access for your pet. The doors are locked while your pet is inside.
I only have one dog at a time in the van, reducing the risk of spreading diseases such as Parvo, canine flu, and kennel cough. I clean all equipment and surfaces between pets with a low-scent, veterinary-grade cleaner designed to kill Parvo and other canine viruses.
Mobile Grooming Services
My prices depend on the size of the dog, condition of their coat, type or style of the groom, and how cooperative the dog is able to be. A simple bath and brush for a large breed dog brushed out at home once a week by his owner will cost less than a smaller dog needing a time-consuming shave and hand-scissoring groom.
A dog who isn't used to being groomed, who won't let his tail be touched, or who panics during a nail trimming will cost more due to the time needed to help him understand that I'm not going to hurt him.
Also, a dog that is too stressed to be safely groomed will require a slower approach with some desensitization at home. I am happy to offer support and training in such a situation.
My Grooming Packages
"Dirty" Hairy
Includes: Brush-out with nail trim, teeth brushing, and ear cleaning.
Great for weekly or bi-weekly visits between baths.
Puppy Groom
Includes: bath, towel dry, nail trim, and ear cleaning.
This basic groom is great to introduce that new puppy to the grooming process before he's in need of fancier grooms.
Squeaky Clean
Includes: bath, towel dry, nail trim, ear cleaning, anal glands, and teeth brushing.
This full grooming package is ideal for short-hair or smooth-coated breeds.
Fluff and Puff
Includes: bath, hand-blow dry, nail trim, ear cleaning, anal glands, and teeth brushing. I add minor trimming and shaving-out of paws pads.
This full grooming package is great for long-haired and combination-coated dogs.
Full Makeover
Includes: bath, hand-blow dry, nail trim, ear cleaning, anal glands, and teeth brushing. I add minor trimming and shaving-out of paws pads.
This full grooming package is ideal for dogs with extra long or thick coats, matted or overgrown coats, specialty breed cuts, poodles/doodles, or other dogs requiring extra drying time, extra brushing, significant trimming, shaping or clipping. Prices depend on coat condition, desired trim, and the dog's cooperation.
Slow and Steady
This add-on is for dogs new to grooming, puppies, seniors, or special needs dogs requiring some desensitation and training to the grooming process or for those dogs who cannot complete a full groom in one normal session. They may need extra time and/or multiple sessions to complete their full groom (Puppy Groom, Squeaky Clean, Fluff and Puff, and Full Makeover).
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss the best package for your pet.
A La Carte
Mani-Pedi
For a nail-only trim. No other services at the same visit.
If your dog hates to have his nails trimmed, please talk to us about a package for desensitization and monthly trims so he can relax!
Thar She Blows!
Dogs "blow coat" or shed extremely heavily every spring and fall when they change between summer and winter coats.
De-shedding treatment involves extra time to soak in a heavy conditioner that loosens up dead hair. After the bath, there is extra brushing, blow-drying, and cleaning up my "snow globe on wheels."
These grooms are best followed up with extra brushing at home in the next few days. If you don't have time to do that yourself, please contact us about a follow-up Brush Out visit.
Le Pew!
De-skunking involves extra time to soak in a special recipe I make on the spot.
Rough Patch
Soften up those cracked and rough nose and paw pads.
Doctor's Orders
Medicated bath with shampoo provided by you or your veterinarian. Requires extra application time as specified by your veterinarian.
No More Tangles
De-matting. Dogs with significant matting down to the skin or tangles over large areas of their body will require shaving.
