Hi, I’m Karen, owner of MY BFF Mobile Pet Services.
I love dogs! I have two Golden Retrievers, Scarlett and Mine, each holding a special place in my family.
I service the southeastern Michigan area of Downriver, including Farmington Hills, Northville, Plymouth, Belleville, Carleton, Flat Rock, and Monroe. I travel west as far as Ann Arbor and north as far as West Bloomfield.
My knowledge as a nurse over the years has taught me how crucial proper care, hygiene, and a nutritious diet are for the well-being, health, and happiness of dogs.
Inside my mobile van, your dog will experience personalized one-on-one grooming in a low-stress environment with my full attention and care dedicated solely to your pet, working at a pace that makes them feel comfortable.
In my training classes and private lessons, I use positive training techniques to teach social behavior, obedience, tricks, and agility in simple steps to you and your dog.
I also offer one-on-one consulting to help you better understand your dog and their needs and any issues they may have with weight, diet, nutrition, behavior, and care.
Grooming
From the type of products selected for your pet's skin and coat to the extra time I take with your dog due to age or other reasons, my goal is to provide a positive experience for your pet whether they need a full grooming or only a nail trimming.
All drying is done by hand. I only use fresh towels and a variable-speed no-heat dryer that allows me to customize your dog's drying experience.
Puppies and frightened dogs can be dried on a lower setting to make them comfortable.
With your permission, I can feed them treats, making the drying a positive association.
Although this way may take longer, it is the safest method, and your dog's well-being is my top priority.
Training
The key to my training classes and private lessons is learning how to communicate effectively with your dog so that they understand what you are asking them to do. Using clicker and other positive training techniques, I break down each task into small pieces that your dog can follow.
Consulting
Owners of puppies, dogs in their prime years, and older dogs often have questions or need guidance on what to feed their pet, how much, and how best to care for them because their needs change with age.
